March Calendar Now Posted

The "Home Learning Suggestions" calendar for the month of March can now be found on the right-hand side of the blog under the header "Monthly Calendars".  In addition to being posted on the blog, a hard copy is being sent home.

I will always show respect to everyone in our classroom on this blog.

I will make sure my posts are appropriate for my classmates, teachers, and parents to read.

I will only use first names in my posts and comments. I will keep personal information off the blog (example: age, address, last name).

I will try my best to spell words correctly (no slang please, like “wuz”, “BFF”).

I will do my best to use correct capitalization and punctuation.

I will re-read my posts to make sure they make sense.

My posts will be a minimum of 4 sentences long.

I may add photos to my post, but only after I am done my writing and if the photo has to do with what I just wrote about.

I will make kind and thoughtful comments on my classmates blogs.

I am a good digital citizen and my blog posts and comments will reflect that.

Spirit Week

Book Orders/Portfolio

Due date for Scholastic book orders has been extended until tomorrow, Tuesday, Feb. 13th.

Also, if you haven't already done so, please sign your child's green portfolio and return it with them to school tomorrow.

Popcorn on Friday

As part of their class reward on Friday, February 9th, the students will be having popcorn.  Here is the type of popcorn we will be having, as well as the ingredient list.  Please let me know by writing a note in your child's agenda if you DO NOT want him/her having this popcorn.  As an alternative, you could provide some popcorn from home.  Thank you for your help in making their class reward a fun experience!

Updates

Class Reward: The students have once again earned all of their gems for kind and helpful behaviour!  As a class reward they have chosen a PJ & Stuffy Day this Friday, February 9th.

100th Day of School: This Friday, February 9th is the 100th Day of School!  Students are invited to bring in 100 of something (optional).  Some examples include: buttons, popsicle sticks, pom-poms, etc.

Heart Day Raffle: The raffle will take place on Friday, February 9th.  Please return all raffle tickets and money by Friday morning.

Scholastic: Book orders are due on Monday, February 12th
