Orange Shirt Day

On Monday, September 30th we are asking everyone in our community to wear orange to bring awareness to the history of the Residential School system and to show that “Every Child Matters”. For more information please visit orangeshirtday.org

October Calendar Now Posted

The "Home Learning Suggestions" calendar for the month of October can now be found on the right-hand side of the blog under the header "Monthly Calendars".  In addition to being posted on the blog, a hard copy will be sent home with each student at the beginning of every month.

Class Reward!

The students have earned all of their gems for being kind and helpful!

As their reward they have decided on a PJ, Stuffy, Popcorn Day which will take place on Friday, October 4th.
If you do not want your child eating popcorn with us, please send a note in their agenda.

Turtle Hospital

Ms. Leblanc's grade 6 class is raising money to donate to a Turtle Hospital.  They are asking for help in doing so by inviting students to bring in a loonie.  See their class website for more information: https://654leblanc.blogspot.com/2019/09/gr-6-sea-turtle-initiative.html

Prodigy

We are starting to use an exciting educational math game called Prodigy.  While we will be using the program during school hours, students are also able to play with the same character at home to supplement their practice.

Here are the instructions to play Prodigy at home:

1. Go to www.prodigygame.com/play

2. Select ‘Play Prodigy’ in the top-right corner

3. Once the game loads, enter your child's username and password and select ‘LOGIN’

A copy of each student's username and password was placed inside the cover of their agenda today.

Zorbits Math Adventure

Your child is using a new digital math resource in the classroom called Zorbit's Math Adventure.  

Students can access the game from home on a computer or iPad.

To play on a computer, visit the following website: play.zorbitsmath.com

To download the Zorbit's Math Adventure app, search "Zorbit's Math" in the app store and download the following app: Zorbit's Math Adventure

Your child's username and password are on the inside cover of their agenda.

Picture Day

Wednesday, October 23rd is Picture Day for Kindergarten - Grade 2.

Tuesday, October 22nd will be for Grade 3 - 6.

Unfinished Work Folder

If your child comes home with their blue "Unfinished Work" folder on a Friday, please have them complete their work over the weekend and return it in the folder the following Monday.
