Wear a Sweater

As one of our eco initiatives this year, every last Friday of the month will be "wear a sweater day". We will be turning down the heat to conserve energy.

Thursday, November 21st - Sacramental preparation meeting for parents in the Parish Hall at St. Patrick's Fallowfield @ 7:00 p.m. (if you didn't attend the meeting on Wednesday, November 13th)

Friday, November 22nd - Raffle & Wear blue for peace

Thursday, November 28th - Photo Retake Day (please indicate in your child's agenda if you wish for them to have their photo retaken)

Saturday, November 30th - St. Anne Christmas Bazaar

Friday, December 20th A.M. - Primary & Junior Christmas Concerts

Star of the Week

 

Beginning in November, we are introducing a new activity called “Star of the Week”.  Each week a different student will bring home the “Star of the Week” bag.  Students are asked to create a poster using the enclosed “Star of the Week” page, as well as, pictures of themselves with family members/pets, on trips, playing sports, etc.  Along with the poster, students are welcome to bring in other items they may wish to share (i.e. sports memorabilia, ribbons, special certificates, etc.).  The final task of the “Star of the Week” is to choose their favourite book and bring it in to be read to the class. The “Star of the Week” bag will be sent home the week prior and all items are to be brought to school on the assigned Monday.

Please help us make this activity a hit by assisting your child as they gather their special items and write/draw about themselves.  It is sure to be an exciting opportunity for the students to share about their interests, talents, and families with one another!

Raffle

School Council is hosting a raffle on Friday, November 22nd.  Funds raised will go towards drumming lessons for all St. Anne students.  Tickets are $0.25 each or 10 for $2.00.

Return Library Books

Library books are due tomorrow - Wednesday, Nov. 13th.  Our library time slot is 3rd block every second Wednesday.

Scientists in School

We are excited to have Scientists in School coming to present their "Move It" workshop about simple machines on Wednesday, November 13th.  They have asked for four parent volunteers to help ensure the exciting hands-on activities run smoothly.  If you are able to help out, please complete and return the form that is going home with students today.  Thank you in advance for your support!

Bubble Gum Bingo

The students have once again earned all of their gems for kind and helpful behaviour.  As a class reward they have decided on Bubble Gum Bingo, which will take place tomorrow afternoon (Wednesday, November 6th).  If for some reason your child should not be having Bubble Gum, please write a note in his/her agenda letting me know.
