February Calendar Now Posted

The "Home Learning Suggestions" calendar for the month of February can now be found on the right-hand side of the blog under the header "Monthly Calendars".  In addition to being posted on the blog, a hard copy is being sent home.

Student Guidelines & Expectations:

• I will always show respect to everyone in our classroom on this blog.
• I will make sure my posts are appropriate for my classmates, teachers, and parents to read.
• I will only use first names in my posts and comments. I will keep personal information off the blog (example: age, address, last name).
• I will try my best to spell words correctly (no slang please, like “wuz” or “BFF”).
• I will do my best to use correct capitalization and punctuation.
• I will re-read my posts to make sure they make sense.
• My posts will be a minimum of 4 sentences long.
• I may add photos to my post, but only after I am done my writing and if the photo has to do with what I just wrote about.
• I will only post photos of people if I have their permission to do so.
• I will make kind and thoughtful comments on my classmates blogs.
• I am a good digital citizen and my blog posts and comments will reflect that.

A friendly reminder that Friday, January 25th is a PD Day.

Prodigy Math Game

We are starting to use an exciting educational math game called Prodigy.  While we will be using the program during school hours, students are also able to play with the same character at home to

supplement their practice.

Here are the instructions to play Prodigy at home:

1. Go to www.prodigygame.com/play

2. Select ‘Play Prodigy’ in the top-right corner

3. Once the game loads, enter your child's username and password and select ‘LOGIN’

A paper copy of each student's username and password will be sent home today.
