Scientists in School
On Wednesday, October 17th in the afternoon, our class will be participating in the "Move It" presentation by Scientists in School. Students will be learning about how and why things move, as well as, the simple machines we use in our everyday lives. We will need at least 4 parent volunteers to help with the different centres. If you are interested in volunteering, please complete the green form coming home with your child and return it by Wednesday, October 3rd. Once I receive your form I will send home a copy of the Vulnerable Sector Check form for you to complete your Police Record Check. Thank you in advance for helping make this a success for the students!

All OCSB Schools Closed on Sept. 24
The Ottawa Catholic School Board (OCSB) will close all schools and the Board office on Monday, September 24, 2018.
This decision was made in consultation with city emergency services due to extensive power outages and damage to several areas of the city. The safety of our students, families, and staff, is our top priority. School closures mean there is no before and after school care, child care centres are closed, and there is no community use of schools/extracurricular use of schools on Monday, September 24, 2018.
We continue to keep in our prayers the families and staff affected by Friday’s tornados, as well as all first responders. Please refer back to this ocsb.ca website or your school’s website on Monday, September 24, 2018 for an update regarding the next school day.
Vulnerable Sector Check
Throughout the school year we will be looking for parent volunteers to help us with activities such as Scientists in School, as well as our annual field trip to Baxter Conservation Centre. All parents wishing to volunteer are now required by the Ottawa Catholic School Board to complete a Vulnerable Sector Check. If you are interested in helping us out at some point this year, please use the letter below to have to cost of your Police Record Check waived. Thank you in advance for your help!
